Song of Change

Physical Marks is about the artists hand in a cast. About four years ago, the artist had surgery on my hand and the entire healing process took about an entire year. It was a major event in their life that they do not really talk about, but thought it would be cool to do a piece on it.

Song of Change is an acrylic painted hand made out of plastic. Three different colors of shiny paint were used to create the ombré effect shown on the hand. It is influenced by body art and even though it is not technically a body part, it is a makeshift one.
