Like Opal and Miss Dahlia
Sculpey, Acrylic, Yarn, Fabric
This piece is representative of the fierceness and destructiveness of women, of the water, of the earth, and how that can be something beautiful. The first sculpture is a girl who is also part fish. She came to the artist in a dream, and told her that she could see her exactly how she really was, and that scared the artist so much that she decided to put her into a physical being, so it wouldn't be so scary anymore. It's just art now! The second sculpture is a flower girl, who is representative of all things that have grown and are growing. She is forgiveness, and she will hold the whole world for you.
