All Survivor No Guilt
Digital Photography

This photographic series is about identity, judgment, and the subsequent guilt–especially to do with things from childhood. The magical looking colors and dramatic costumes on the photos with the girl combined with the writing on her neck “all survivor no guilt”, are meant to show that magical things and the dramatic often come from a place of hurt. The dark night with the bright lights and subject, sometimes posing with childish things like a teddy bear, are meant to show that your current self is connected with your childhood self. The subject of flowers also shows up a lot in this series. Flowers grow from a plant that comes from nothing but a seed. Through growth is how we experience beauty. Nothing beautiful comes straight from the get go–it requires pressure and time.
