Modeled after the artist's horse, Amazing Grayce, this sculpture is designed to be both whimsical (after all, no cat will ever ride a half-pass) and touching, as it conveys the artist's love of animals. The choice of material was mostly practical, as the materials are easy to find, and the structure was chosen because of the elegance a half-pass lends to the horse, an already elegant animal. The horse is painted to mimic Grayce herself, and the cat was inspired by the artist's cat, though she doesn't have any white on her at all.
