This is mix media film series of four parts. It features the artist’s little sister who plays a girl. The film shows the girl fall into a dream-like state where she is not live- action, but animated. In the animation, the girl is walking into a void, trapped and alone. With only birds to keep her company, she becomes a bird herself. This eerie short series uses imagery to show what change looks and feels like. The young girl’s curiosity and fascination about the birds transports her to different world where she changes into something she has been chasing the whole time. She fully reconstructs her appearance on the outside and emerges as a bird. She wanted so much of the freedom that birds had. She wanted to be able to fly. And after internalizing that feeling for a while, she was able to externally transform into her dream: her dream of becoming a bird.
