This piece is an entirely handbuilt, functional, lamp base. The theme for this piece was a soft earthy feeling functional base and it incorporates sgraffito into the layers that make up the piece. This piece is an interpretation of some favorite feelings that arise when looking at the lanscape of this campus. This is shown by having specific shapes, colors, and flowers as main aspects of the piece. As well the background of this piece does not have glaze to give a very earthy, natural feel. When you see this piece the intention is for you feel calm and happy, with a twinge of camping essence.
